Irrfan pleased to work with SRK

Irrfan Khan, who will be playing SRK’s childhood friend in Billo Barber, says he is very happy to work with him again post the theatre days.

“I still remember the days when we were together in theatre and till now nothing has changed in his style of working,” says Irrfan and adds, “He was very pleased to work with me again and praised my role in Maqbool. He is very down to earth but at same time very focused towards his work.”

About the film, Irrfan says, “This film will become a landmark in both mine and his career. I’m enjoying the role of a barber. The film has everything - comedy, drama and a little bit of action. I won’t say more. Let the audience watch and enjoy.”

On the personal front, the acclaimed actor says, “My two sons were very happy when they came to know that I’m working with SRK. For 10 years I was nowhere but now I’m feeling comfortable staying in Madh Island, Mumbai with my family.”

Besides Billo Barber, Irrfan Khan will be seen in Mumbai Meri Jaan, Right Yaa Wrong, and Alibaug.

Well, you all know the verdict on Kuselan and Billoo Barber too is leaving no stone unturned in making sure that the audience reacts the same way. [READ: First day first show of Kuselan]

Director Priyadarshan is bringing together the successful trio of Farah Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan for a very special song in the movie, reports Mumbai Mirror.

“Although Farah started her career choreographing for me I never worked with her after Virasat,” says the director. “And now I want to bring her back from maternity leave and choreograph the SRK-Deepika number. Call it a lucky charm.”

So will the Farah-conducted song make the audience jump out of their seats and dance? Will SRK’s Billoo Barber receive the same reception as Rajini’s Kuselan?

We’ll know only after September 14, which is when the song is being shot.

Shah Rukh the ‘early bird’

Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t joking when he sang I am the best. Take the recent case which happened on the sets of his home production, Billoo Barber.

A source present on the sets said, “The film’s director, Priyadarshan, was chatting with SRK one day, when he casually mentioned the dedication and discipline of some lead actors like Akshay Kumar, Govinda and Salman Khan. Priyan also cited some examples about their professionalism and how they always report early to the sets. That’s when SRK took up the challenge to follow suit.”

When contacted, Priyadarshan, who is currently shooting in Pollachi, laughed and said, “I was casually telling SRK that Akshay, Govinda and Salman always come earlier than the scheduled reporting time to the sets. At times they are on the sets even before me. That’s when SRK took up the challenge of reaching the sets earlier than me.”

And guess what! The very next morning, SRK who used to generally report to the sets by 9 am, was there at 7 am. Priyadarshan added, “I was on my way to the location when I saw Shah Rukh’s car speed past mine. He reported to the sets before 7 am.” Billoo Barber also stars Lara Dutta, Om Puri and Irrfan Khan.
